Welcome to The Stretch Drive.

        First of all, thanks for clicking on our brand new harness racing and gambling blog, "The Stretch Drive".  This is a quick introduction to the three guys that will be running this blog, and what to expect from us.  My name is Erik, and I'll be doing most of the writing.  We also have my brother Mike and my cousin Pauly contributing to the site with expert harness racing analogy and of course, their winning picks.  Between the three of us we have damn near 75 years of experience in the harness racing industry in some compacity.  Including gambling.  Our families have owned harness horses since we were all very young.  This has cultivated an extreme passion in us for harness racing and wagering.  We've been going to race tracks together as far back as I can remember.  Local tracks like Batavia Downs and Buffalo Raceway, and we've traveled to other tracks like Northfield Park, Tioga, and Vernon.  

        So what can you expect from this blog?  We love to talk horse racing, so that's how we plan to run this blog.  Like a bunch of harness racing fans discussing their passion.  We have made some good relationships with people in the harness racing world and hope to get them involved with our blog in the future also.  We will also be giving picks weekly, mainly for Buffalo right now, but we may also cover races from other tracks.  My cousin Pauly and brother Mike have been honing their handicapping skills for the last 30 plus years.  We've all followed Buffalo and Batavia very closely for that time, but also follow harness racing all over the country.  We've spent many late nights discussing that evenings race card, our big wins and our bad beats.  So let's talk racing, and probably even some other sports while we're at it.  Who doesn't love a good beer, harness racing and the occasional wager?
