Recap of Buffalo Raceway Wed, 7-1



        "The Stretch Drive" crew was in the lab again last night, watching Buffalo Raceway along with a few other tracks.  We had some more exciting racing at Buffalo and our cappers had a pretty good night overall.  Ray Fisher Jr. and Drew Monti both had stellar nights in the bike, winning three races each to lead all drivers.  

- Race 1 - FM OPEN - $11,500
        The 4, Gia's Surreal went off the even money favorite with John Cummings Jr. and got away 4th on the rail.  Fisher Jr. put Lady London right on the front and went to the half in 57.  JC Jr. pulled Gia second over just before the half and got up for the win over Hey Kobe by a head in 1:54.2.  Gia's Surreal paid $4.60.  

- Race 12 - CLASS A-AA HDCP - $10,000
        In race 12, Victoria Swan had the rail, and went off the big favorite at 3-5.  Monti put this one right on the front and rated the mile very nicely going to the half in 1:00.3.  There was never much pressure in this one and the Swan went on to win easily in 1:58.4 over Empire Earl N and Call My Broker.

        If you followed along with Mike's and PC's picks, we hope you had a good night gambling.  It was one of our best nights of handicapping this season.  The guys combined for 13 winners on the card including hitting the pick 5.  In race 4, Mike and PC both gave out the winning trifecta straight.  The ex and tri weren't big money, but we'll take it.  They both also had the winner in race 5, Blacknsweet Adda A.  This was also Mike's best bet, and he had the cold tri in this one as well.  PC also hit his best bet, the 3, Keystone Apache in the 7th.  And also had the tri of 3-2-4, paying $17.20 for $1, which is pretty good considering the odds.  Our best tip of the night was probably PC's longshot special.  He gave out the 5, Scarlet N Silk in race 10.  This race got goofy early with some parking tickets being handed out, and Scarlet N Silk circled the field for the win.  We really hope you had this $22 winner to make your night.  
        It was a great night in the simulcast center and we even made some money.  Hopefully you did too!!

Batavia Downs recap for Sat., 8-29.

           Saturday turned into a driving duel between two of the leading drivers at Batavia Downs.  Jim Morrill Jr., the leader in wins going into Saturday with 28, added four more wins to his total.  But Drew Monti was also on a heater, picking up four wins of his own, giving him 15 wins on the season.  Monti won the Open I and Open II Pace.  In the Open II, STRATOSPHERE was super impressive, basically going wire to wire for a pretty easy win in 1:53.3 by two lengths.  That's two wins in a row for STRATOSPHERE.  And in the Open I, Monti got a nice trip with BLACK IS BACK.  He pulled second over behind the favorite, LONG TRAIN RUNNIN, went three wide around the last turn and just got up for the win by half a length in 1:53.4.  BLACK IS BACK paid $12.60.            The Stretch Drive crew put in another nights work gambling Saturday night.  Mike and PC combined for 10 winners out...
