Recap of Buffalo, Sat, 7-11.
The rainy weather and track conditions made for some interesting results at Buffalo Raceway on Saturday night. It was a combination of some chalks and some long shots getting up for big wins. Let's cover a couple of the better races from the card.
- Race 5 - Pace - Class A - $10,000
Thor De Vie was coming off back to back wins in Class C and B and had the rail Saturday night. The betting public really liked this one again sending him off at 2-5. Billy Davis Jr. left out of the 3 hole with Sizzling Summer but Thor De Vie went back to the front in 28.4. Dave McNeight III cut all the fractions with Thor De Vie getting to the half in 59, and the 3/4 in 1:28.1. Kevin Cummings pulled Utah Beach first up and applied some pressure but Thor paced away to win by a length in 1:57.2. Trainer, Jim Graham really has this one in form.
- Race 7 - Pace - Class AA - Open HDCP - $11,500
Class Six was assigned the 7 hole coming off three wins in a row. McDonough fired Class Six out of the gate again, but paid the early price going to the first quarter in a very quick 27.2 in the weather. Daylight Rush and David McNeight III got away second off the rail at 8-5. Percy's Z Tam came first over after the half in 56.1 and eventually got by Class Six just after the 3/4 pole. That's when McNeight pulled the 2 hole with Daylight Rush and got to the lead down the stretch, winning this one in 1:55.1. A very impressive mile.
There's no way to sugar coat it, we didn't have a great night as far as our picks and gambling goes. Mike and PC combined to give out 6 winners, with Mike having 5 of them. PC started the night good with the tri box in race 1. With a $21 winner, the tri paid $87.50 for $1. Then Mike got hot picking the winner in races 3-6. But the highest win price in there was $4. Pretty chalky. Mike also gave you the exacta in race 9. The 4-2 exacta actually paid very good at $15.40. If you played our picks right, you could've also caught the pick5 which paid $188.25. What can I say, it was a tough night at Buffalo Raceway, but as always, we will return. Continuing to look for that big score. Thanks for following along.
