Recap of NYSS races at Yonkers, Thurs, 7-2

It was a very interesting night of gambling from Yonkers Raceway last night.  Yonkers hosted the 3 Year Old Fillies and the NYSS.  There was some very good racing, with a few surprises and a couple chalks.  The interesting part has to do more with our selections, which I'll explain after we cover a couple race highlights.

- Race 6 - 3 YO FILLIES **1ST DIVISION** - $51,300
The 4, Merga Hanover went to the front early and got to the quarter in a quick 26.2.  Joe Bongiorno pulled the favorite, So Rude, first over and cleared the lead just passed the half in a wicked 54.2.  So Rude lead the rest of the way and held on to win over Racine Bell in 1:53.  So Rude, trained by Jennifer Bongiorno paid $2.70 for the win.
- Race 7 - 3 YO FILLIES **2ND DIVISION** - $52,200
Andrew McCarthy and Hen Party left around the 1 and went wire to wire in the 7th.  After a well rated half in 57.2, Hen Party went the mile in 1:53.3 and got the pretty easy win over Alleyesonme A.  Hen Party paid $3.90 - $2.60 - $2.10.

Our selections started out very nicely for Mike's Picks.  Mike picked the 4, Charm And Grace to win the 1st race.  She won and paid $9.40 which we thought was a great price on this filly.  Mike also gave out the early double of 4-3.  We couldn't believe this combo paid $42.20.  What a start.  Mike went on to have a total of four winners out of the seven NYSS races.  It gets interesting when we look at PC's Picks.  PC gave us the winner of race 6, So Rude.  Amazingly in every other race, the horse PC picked for 2nd actually won the race.  Consistency at it's very finest folks.  So overall it was a pretty decent night of picking very tough 3 year old fillies.  Stick with us for some more winners.  Plenty more to come from Buffalo and NYSS racing.  Let's get the money!!
