Batavia Downs recap, Friday, 7-31.
Friday was another beautiful night for racing at Batavia Downs. The crew was back up on the balcony at the hotel, enjoying Batavia's 13 race card featuring Open Pacers. Friend of the show, Shawn McDonough put it all together and had three driving wins, and four training wins. Congrats to Shawn and his crew. Dave Mcneight III also had a great night with three more wins, including the Open I with Black Is Back.
- Race 7 - Pace - Open I - $10,000
Black Is Back (David Mcneight III) went off the 4/5 favorite and was the lone leaver from the 4 hole. They went to the 1/4 in 28.3 and the 1/2 in 57.4. Class Six (Renaldo Morales III) pulled first over and was really the only pressure in the race. Around the last turn Black Is Back pulled away and got the win over Class Six in 1:54.3 by two lengths. Keep your eye on Class Six next week.
The boys found a couple of nice payouts on the night and we hope you had them. PC's Picks gave out six winners, and Mike's gave out four. We thought it was a tough card and it proved to be. PC did get winners with his Best Bet and his Longshot. His Best Bet, Mr Euroman N went off the favorite and won race 10, paying $3.30. His Longshot was Under Paid in race 4. He went wire to wire and paid $13. PC also gave you the ex in the same race. The 7-1 ex paid $38.40. Mike's Best Bet also was a winner last night. Dylan Sam won race 3 at even money. Mike gave you the exacta combo 3-6 and it came back $10.60. Not bad for the two favorites. In race 6, Mike gave out the exacta box 1-2 which paid a very strong $28. We'd also like to note that P L Lester, a horse we've been following closely, finally put it together and got the win at 4-1. We had a decent night again, and a lot of fun watching from the balcony at Batavia Downs Hotel. We'll be back with more winners Wednesday night at Batavia. Thanks for hanging with us!
